Dispute of charge after service cancellation

Hi everyone,
I’m hoping someone can help clarify a billing issue.

I cancelled my Koodo service on December 28. After cancellation, my account showed a $10 credit. However, in January I was charged $10.49 even though I did not use the service after cancelling.

I’m confused about why this charge appeared and why the existing credit didn’t cover it. Has anyone experienced something similar, or can a Koodo rep explain what this charge is for?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi @Ayrooba

We have looked into it and we can confirm that the charge on the last bill is related to the discount that was applied on the previous bill.

This happens if the service is cancelled before the end of the billing cycle, as discounts or bills credit do not apply for partial billing periods.

We recommend checking page 4 of your bill for more details.

You need to download your detailed pdf ebill for the last 2 bills.  On Pages 3 or 4 in the Mobile Services section there should be full details regarding the charges.

If you need help understanding the charged, please post a screenshot of the Detailed pdf ebill  in the Mobile Services section (just make sure to black out any personal info)
