Data Roaming Charge

I had my roaming off and my phone was on airplane mode almost every day of my trip to France. Except occasional moments where I quickly needed to check something or Google Maps. My bill is absolutely ridiculous over $200. How do I dispute this ? Or better understand why?

Hi @dris0208

We have looked into it and we can see there iwas usage for data the days the charges were triggered. We recommend checking the usage section in self serve for more details.

In the future, we recommend reviewing the travel pass options in case you plan on using the services abroad: https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/europe-easy-roam-travel-passes

The charges are legitimate, however if you would like to dispute the charges further, you can schedule a call back with the virtual assist

From your description, it appeared there were a lot of roaming fee.

To find out how Koodo charged you, You could go into self-service and check usage. Check data, SMS and call for those travelling days.

Thank you, I read the info on the link. It was very useful.

Something I know for sure is that I didn’t make a singe call or send any texts single text on that trip. Besides the occasional quick checks I think nothing else, and for that I expected some charges but nothing close to that. Majority of the time my phone was airplane mode. Can it be an error ? How do I dispute it.

Occasional quick checks would come in at $18 per day (until midnight) plus taxes and that will add up quickly. If you like, I can flag a rep to confirm the days you were charged and what triggered it. If you still disagree with those days, you’d be best to shceudle a callback with Koodo Assist to speak to the billing department to dispute the charges.
