I just cancelled my Koodo account and it says I have a credit of $29.38. Is this credit sent to me in the form of a cheque and if so what is the waiting period?

If your credit balance is over $5, you’ll get an automatic refund within seven days of your first bill after cancellation. No payment is needed if you have a credit balance on a cancelled account. The refund goes back to your original payment method—credit card, debit card, or chequing account.

To add,

If you had a visa debit setup for pre-authorised payment the credit will not be refunded to this payment method. It will be sent as a cheque instead. This is also the case if you do not have autopay / pre-authorised payment setup.

From what I can find, the cheque can take a couple of weeks but the time can vary depending on where you are in addition to, weekends, holidays, the courier etc so it often takes longer.

This is if you have auto pay set up on file.  If you do not, then a cheque will need to be processed and mailed out to you
