Question

charged roaming overseas

Hi, I was charged roaming fees when I was out of the country… I assume it happened for an extremely brief second when I switched to an esim. I know my data roaming was off and my primary line was switched to my esim as I have used many times before. I would like to have that removed from my bill as I know I did not use.

thanks

What triggered the roaming charge?  Was it data leakage, was a text sent, was talk used?

You can follow the steps in the article to find out

Let me flag a rep to help you out.

To avoid this from happening again, make sure to remove your Koodo SIM card or disable your Koodo eSIM before travelling abroad.

In the meantime, you may want to upvote this idea. If there are enough votes, Koodo may consider this option in the future.

Hi @lmmartin1992, we’re not seeing any roaming charges on your latest bill, please let us know which date(s) you’re disputing.

If the roaming charges are still pending for your current bill cycle, please let us know here once the bill showing the charges has been issued and we will gladly look into it for you then.

Hi yes it is showing up on my bill as an 18$ roaming fee. Maybe that was my last cycle that it was not showing up on.

What date was the roaming charge as indicated on your detailed pdf ebill?

Also did you follow the article above to figure out what triggered the roaming charge?  Was a text, call, or data?

It says November 8th, 1 min, under minutes.

Hi @lmmartin1992, we have looked into the charge you mentioned and it was triggered by a call to your voicemail while roaming. For more details, please check the usage section in your self serve.

For more information on how to prevent accidental charges while roaming, please check out this article.

The charge is valid, but if you would like to dispute it further you can speak to our Koodo Expert Messaging team via the Koodo Assist or send us a private message on social media via Facebook or Instagram.
