Charged for roaming

Hello,

I was charged a roaming fee on Nov 8th, despite not having left the country. Furthermore I had data roaming off so I shouldn’t have been charged at all. Please reverse this charge on my Nov bill.

Thank you.

Hello @Knykyta

We verified the day with the charge and confirmed accidental roaming. A credit was applied for the fee and will update within 3-5 minutes in the Self Serve account.

Sometimes the device is going to catch the network on the other side.

It's a world-wide situation, since the device settings are set to automatically search for the strongest signal.

You can follow the steps mentioned by @MilkyWay  in order to avoid future similar fees.

Let me flag a rep to help you out.

To avoid this from happening again, you can manually select your network to Koodo, so that your phone does not automatically connect to a cellular tower. You will need to do this every time you restart your phone.

In the meantime, you may want to upvote this idea. If there are enough votes, Koodo may consider this option in the future.
