Charged a month before billing date for March 05th 2026

Best answer by BlueEyesUltra

I think what's bothering me.The most is that the fact that I had a conversation with a live customer service trying to explain to them. Because at my income is the last day of the month that I would like to have my billing date on that date. They can't change the date, and they did make an exception of making it. The fifth instead of the fifteenth, but that still a month before almost three weeks before that, they took their money out.I'm glad my bill is paid, but now my belly is empty

Hi there,

Can you elaborate a bit more on the issue? Did you receive the bill before the billing cycle was up or automatic payment was taken before the due date?

If you meant automatic payment by "charged", this is taken out approximately 15 days before the last day of the due date and can vary based on holidays and weekends. So it is normal for it to come out before the due date. More info can be found below.

Im my self-serve my bill is showing the amount ( it's my first bill aswell) due date March 05th 2026  so im confused because they do know that they said they would try to withdraw on March 02nd 2026 put the withdrawal, it was just made today at the time when I desperately needed to use that money for groceries. That's why i'm so concerned on why they took it out so early

Ah I see. It is as I said then usually there is no specific date as to when the amount is removed as it is automated, its just roughly two weeks before the bill is due though I find its usually around the 10 day mark. This is normal when you have auto pay setup.

I appreciate the concern, and I understand you're just trying to explain. But it was when I was speaking to them on the phone about my first bill and the billing dates. Because I'm on a fixed income. I wanted to make sure that they would have the money on the right date. They told me march second, and that's not how it worked out

I’m sorry to hear that the situation caused you to choose between paying bills and food. I’m sure you’re already aware of food bank options that might be able to help, and hopefully aren’t overwhelmed in your area.

I would look closely at prepaid with Koodo. Your 30 days is basically whenever you activate, and should you fall behind on being able to pay, the service stops (with no reconnection fees) until you pay for 30 more days. You have 89 days to pay again before you lose your number. It would give you more flexibility, and likely a lower price than what postpaid is offering you. Right now there’s $25 for 25gb and $21 for 1gb.
