Can I keep my phone number and SIM if I start a new account with a new plan?

I have a situation where I am separating my line from another’s. Currently they are part of the same account. I want to keep my phone (unlocked and no contract; month-to-month billing) and phone number. Basically, start a new account but keep everything the same. How do I do this?

Hi there @Moonchild

Sure thing. We would recommend  a Transfer of Ownership. Depending on who is the Account Owner, you can separate the 2 lines.  If you are the account owner, you can remain as is with the account and transfer the 2’nd line, if the user also approves.

If you are not, you can transfer your number and plan to a brand new account under your name. A credit check has to be done in this scenario and also, approval from the Owner of the Account is required.

Details here.

For privacy and security reasons, this can be done over the phone. You can schedule a call-back through our Koodo Assist.
