I want to talk to some representative and they say they can’t do it until tomorrow. I have to pay my bill and I want to dispute my easy roam charges. I want to know what other options are to solve this NOW.

 

The fact that you put so many hurdles to solve something as simple shows how sketchy your service is. I’m really fed up with Koodo. It’s amazing that all complains are about the same, clearly showing how you want to rip off your customers with easy roam.

I’ve already accepted that you’ll charge me with easy roam even when I didn’t want to use it and I even doubt I used it because I was at the airport in the USA with wifi enabled. 

Even in that case, it’s impossible that you can charge me for two days, because I was at the USA in the airport for only a couple of hours!!! it doesn’t make any sense that i have charges for two days.

I also want to know what my options are. MAybe I’ll keep this line in the lowest payment option, so I can find another company. This is just a matter of principles. I hate it when companies are so sketchy, finding loopholes to charge you.


Thank you for the details. From what can be seen, the data usage while roaming spans over around 9 hours from the 20’th of December and a few minutes on December 21’st. The charges are pay per use. 

We would recommend maintaining the setting Data Roaming off while traveling in order to avoid future similar charges. 

As for Easy Roam, it is triggered by a usage of either sent SMS, answered calls , checking the voicemail while roaming or data usage. In order to see what triggered the Easy Roam fee, you can check the usage section of the Self Serve account. I will also include a helpful link of how roaming is charged while traveling.

From what can be seen the charges are valid. If you want to further investigate, we would recommend to wait for the call-back and our team can look into the situation further. 


that’s why i want to talk by phone. I want to know how to cancel my plan, keep this plan to the minimum payment until I transfer the phone number, and so on. I had told you in December that this was the last time you were going to steal from me. You can say whatever you want, and I have no proof about whether I used easy roam or not. So be happy with your extra $40, you won’t get one more dime after that if I pay that extra.


Besides, how it’s possible that you charge me two days and the amount is

$18.97 for allegedly 1.90 MB

$10.00 for allegedly 418.28 M


The pay-per-use rates are different for different regions, you can find them here https://www.koodomobile.com/en/payperuse 

The $10 for 8.9 MBs is for usage in the US, with the pay-per-use rates of $10/50 MB. 418.28 MB is the total data usage for that day, including usage in Canada. 

The $18.97 for 1.899 MBs is for usage in Argentina, with the pay-per-use rates of $10/MB.


If you do want to cancel there is nothing you need to do. 

 

Jist keep your plan active and port to the new provider when you are ready. The act of porting will cancel the line of the number being moved  

 

Just not any remaining tab and tab bonus will be payable.
