Bill paid but not from my account

I have been on pre-authorized payments from my bank account for the last year and everything worked out great. This month (December) my bill was paid but not from my account. I have checked both bank account and credit card but not from my payment has shown up. 
My account payment says paid January 2, 2026 but not from payment went out. What to do?

I called the bank and they suggested that Koodo prematurely entered a paid notification and that it would likely show up in my bank account by this evening. I will wait and see before trying to contact Koodo.

Hi there,

to confirm / clarify the issue, the amount that was owed has been paid on January 2nd. No money is owing to Koodo, however, when you check your bank statements, you’re not seeing any money that was removed from the pre-authorised setup account?

If that is a correct summary, have you contacted your bank to see if they can see the transaction in case there is an issue with their app / website?
