I updated autopay using my new debit visa on self serve but it didn’t happen in the background. Koodo charged me 79 cents late fee. I never miss payments. They need to fix their app or the website.

Normally, it can take more than 1 billing cycle for the automatic payment to take into effect. So it is best to pay the bill of that billing cycle.
Sometimes, the date you update was the date that they took the money (10+ before the due date).
