It seems that it is an official koodo number. A list of actual koodo / Telus numbers that they tend to call you at can be found in the article below.

It is likely that the rep is simply trying to switch you from Koodo to Telus and move you to the parent company as a sales call. I hope this clears things up

Anyone who calls you, you need to treat with extreme caution. 

You can ignore the call or you can hear them out, but never give any personal Info. 

If you are interested in their offer, I would tell them to give you a reference number or offer code or something, and you can call Telus directly
