My wife recently was charged Easy Roam fee for nearly all days of her recent visit to the US. She turned data roaming off as soon as she was picked up at the airport and only turned it back on when she returned to the airport to leave. There should only be a charge for 2 days. Why were there Easy Roam charges for days there was no cellular usage? Also there were charges for texts that were sent by wifi. Why would there be a charge for Easy Roam and then charge for the texts as well especially that it wasn’t even using the cellular network? 

You are supposed to turned off data roaming before going to US. If you chose to turned while you were in US, it was too late as the phone can use data right away. 

Regarding the SMS, I would recommend you check your phone to see if the message was sent as SMS or RCS or iMessage. 

Anyway, can you check your data usage on those day to see how much data Koodo reported you used?

I also recommend downloading your detailed pdf ebill to see the details of your charges.

If you were charged for easy roam while also being charged for roaming texts then that doesn't sound correct. If that is the case, please post a screenshot of your detailed pdf ebill showing this (but black out Any personal info).
