I received a call from someone at Koodo (I’m a Telus custormer), with an offer to bundle Disney, Netflix and Prime.

To confirm my account, they asked me for my name, my 4 digit pin associated to my account, the 4 last digits of my drivers license and my date of birth. I responded, this doesn’t seem legit, and hung up. They called me back, I refused the call. They then sent me an email from Telus, which seems legit..however, why in the world should I have to confirm my identity by providing extremely sensitive information about myself from an incoming call. It all seems really strange to me.

That is a terrible practice Koodo. It angers me that you continue to cold call clients when every expert warns not to give personal info over the phone.
