While I was on vacation abroad I started receving alerts from koodo about over passing the Data limit roaming. I never asked for this service or someone else was using my account. I don’t want to pay for something that I did use.

Your phone is constantly using data even if you aren’t actively on your phone.
If you didn’t have your phone set to airplane mode, or have your sim card removed, then your phone would be using data.
