I recently changed from visual voicemail to voicemail to text.

The  voice to text is working fine, but now I am getting notified that I have voicemail messages and when I go and listen to my voicemail or look at my texts, I have no messages. There’s always just a little red dot beside my voicemail icon on my phone. The only way I managed to get rid of it was by powering my phone off and back on. But the little red dot is back and won’t go away. When I go into my Voicemail, there are still no messages.

How can I get rid of this erroneous notification?

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried to reset network settings of the phone to see if that can help?
As well, I assume you are using an iPhone? is iOS live voicemail enabled in your phone?

I reset the network settings but the red dot is still there. I have a iPhone 6S Plus. So no iOS live voicemail.

Any other suggestions? I am planning on buying a new phone. Should I just wait to see if the problem occurs on it?

Really appreciate your time, thank you.

This needs to be provisioned by the technical support team. Let me flag a rep to help you out.

Hi @Nomi

We would gladly look into it for you.

Unfortunately we could not authenticate the account through the method you used to log in. Log out of the Community and when you log in, use the Self Serve account as shown in the picture below:

Hi Flo,

Whenever I try to sign in with self-serve credentials, I get this error message:

”That was unexpected! Your username and/or password appears to be incorrect. It’s also possible that your password no longer meets our requirements to keep it secure. Please reset it here.”

I have no problem signing into Self Serve.

What would you suggest?

@Nomi Have you tried on a different browser or device?

Are you getting the same error?

Wasn’t the browser, turned out it was using Telus credentials instead of Koodo.

Anyways, looks like I’m in. Any help you can give will be appreciated.

@Nomi

If you go on your iPhone to Settings > Notifications > scroll down and tap Phone turn off Badges, then wait a bit and turn it back on, does the voicemail notification go away?

Nope.

@Nomi

We can reset the voicemail on our end, however you will then need to set it up again using the steps here https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/voicemail?srsltid=AfmBOorkQnFZhsMctc8i7h6wlI9cdXc7eLuB73bg3XHXGKr6TXQwH0R0

Please note that resetting the voicemail will remove the unread voicemails.
