new phone says old sim not supported

hello, help pls

bought a new phone A15 (at diff carrier) replacing a A13, once transferred and sim in says old sim not supported in new phone.

I have tried the true on and off restart etc,..no luck

Carriers in canada I believe have to sell unlocked phones right?

Could you post a screenshot of the message showing up on the phone when you out the Koodo sim into it? Hide all personal detail before posting pls.

Samsung Canada can also unlock Canadian Samsung phone if the phone was indeed locked.
