Hi everyone,

We moved to NS from BC, and my wife is not certain that she wants to change our BC phone number just yet.  If we switch to Koodo, can we keep our current BC number?

Hi there,

this shouldn’t be a problem as long you have the account number from your previous provider. You should know though that not all phone numbers are portable, so be prepared for that if during the process you’re told that you’re unable to keep the number, though most are able to be ported to Koodo. Once the port is requested, you will receive a text from your old service provider asking to switch companies. You have 90mins to respond yes to the text. Once you do, your previous account with your old service provider closes and your number transfers to Koodo. After that, you just put the new sim in from Koodo and turn the phone off and on again. That’s it! I hope this helps 🙂👍
