Hi, I just put my Sim card in a Blackberry phone and it's asking for 8-16 digit Network unlock code.
Hi there,
is it an older blackberry that is running BlackBerry 10, BlackBerry 7.1 or earlier as the operating system? As then I am afraid you won’t be able to use the device even if you’re provided the carrier unlock code. This is because Blackberry decommissioned their devices back in 2022 and are no longer supported by any carrier.
If it is newer and is not running BlackBerry OS, then a rep will be able to send you the unlock code. More info can be found in the link

Hi
Hi, thanks a lot. It's a Blackberry 10 OS, but my other Blackberry runs the same OS and works with Koodo. So you're sure it won't work even if I get this one unlocked?
According to the link Oliver shared, BBOS devices should not work on the Koodo network.
However if you have a BBOS device working then it is a maybe. There will be no other warning if or when it will stop working as it shouldnt be working currently.
Not many of us have BBOS devices to test
Sounds good. Thanks for your help!
I have a BB z30, pristine, one day it worked perfectly, next day, poof, like Oliver said, gone, a paper weight.
I see
BB10 should still work in genera but the website and news on it say BB10 support is ended. I haven’t had a bb10 phone in a long time now, so I can’t just check unfortunately.
BBOS is entirely dead now. BB10 doesn’t require BIS to operate, so as far as I know, people with a BB10 device still have operating phones. ButI see Fred saying his Z30 doesn’t work at all anymore, while you say that your other BB10 device is still working with Koodo. From what I’ve read, it just depend son your device. For some reason, some BB10 devices are bricked, and some aren’t. So it’s completely YMMV.
