I turned my airplane off this morning and my network was not available. I tried restarting, turning off / on with sim card removal, resetting network settings, but nothing is helping. still cannot make /receive call (including koodo customer service) or use my data. 

If you go to your phone’s network selection setting, select manual network selection, does a list populate with networks available? If so, is Koodo on there and can you select it?


under ‘mobile networks’ it said auto select network - i turned it off, it searched, there are now two networks available ‘EXT’ and ‘Rogers’. No Koodo

Ok that’s odd. Even if your service was suspended from a missed payment or something like that, you should still be able ot see the network.

There are no active reported outages atm. Is there another phone you can insert the sim card into to see if the problem follows? It sounds like it would but it’d be good to confirm.

Changed the SIM card to another phone. seems to be working. suggestions on what settings could have changed over night when put on airplane mode?


Ok that’s particularly weird then. I can’t think of a setting besides if you were in manual network selection mode and some other network was selected for why only Koodo isn’t visible.

The next main troubleshooting step, since you already took out and put the sim card back in, cycled airplane mode, restarted your phone, reset network settings, is to  hard factory reset your phone. If it’s still not working on your regular phone, my suggestion is to backup your phone, and factory reset it.

My I know how you fixed that. I ‘ve had the same issue starting early this month, no calls, no data, no SMS.
