Lost 5G connectivity

Sometime in the last week my phone devolved to 4G, perhaps around the time that I received a bunch of Android updates. My phone runs the latest Android 13 release.

How do I get 5G back?

Is the 5G setting still toggled on on your phone? Are you on a 5G plan?

Which phone do you have?

Yes the 5G setting is set. Yes I am on a 5G plan.

It was working until the latest Android updates.

This is a Nokia xr21, purchased new a few months ago.

You can try to reset network settings to see if the 5G can show up. As well, if possible, test the SIM card in another phone to see if it can pick up 5G signal

Not sure exactly where network settings would be reset? And I don't have access to another phone with 5G capability.

This phone was happy to connect via 5G a week ago.

To reset , go to settings » System » Advanced » Reset Option » Reset network settings

As you mentioned, your phone was updated, something might have went wrong during the process. A reset of network settings might help.

Weirdly enough, it seems to have fixed itself after a trip to another part of town.

Thanks everyone!
