I used to have DSL Internet via the phone line through another provider. I'm switching to Koodo home Internet. Activation date was yesterday. I connected the modem to the coax connection. But the DS light has been flashing green for 24 hours.

I tried unplugging the modem for a bit and plugging it back in but DS still flashing and other lights not on (except power, obviously).

I've never had TV or anything connected to the coax before. 

Any ideas? I don't know where else to get help. I've seen all the online documentation already. Koodo chat is not helpful.

There might be an issue as you’re not the only one having issues. Will report back when I have more information.

I have the same problem. My activation date is today. Everything is solid green except the internet light. And I’m using coaxial line as well.  Has your internet been restored yet?

Not yet. Your issue sounds a bit different as you have multiple solid green lights. I only have one flashing light and no others lit. Might be the same cause though? Let's hope something happens soon.


Seems like many people not getting internet since yesterday. First time having this issue lol. If it’s not solved within tomorrow I might cancel koodo and join back my old provider. Frustrated. Hope you will get it back soon. 👍

Since you are both new customers.  Do you know if your Coax line you are using worked previously?  When did you last use that Coax line?

Thanks for that. As mentioned, I've never had anything connected to this coax connection. I've been in this place for 7 years. 

I'm waiting on a callback for a technician visit so hopefully that will help.

Tried plugged in the old modem from old provider and now I have the internet. Not sure why I only got 65mbps when I should have got 900-1gbps, but the problem is Koodo modem. 


Just to follow up my issue, it turned out to be a cable issue. Nobody had ever used the coax in this house. He had to connect it outside at an end panel or something. Very nice guy (with Rogers), all done in half an hour. Internet is now working. To whoever is reading this, good luck with your issue.
