I’ve been having issues with my modem for the past couple months and am finally starting to try to deal with it. My home internet goes offline at a minimum of once / week, sometimes up to 4 or 5 times per week.
Having reliable home internet is extremely important for our house because we have a patio door that is connected to our network and a security camera that are both needed in order to allow us to let our dog out into the backyard for a bathroom break throughout the day while at work.
As you can imagine, having internet that is so spotty/unreliable causes issues for us as we can’t always leave work to go home during the day when the internet goes offline. That results in us having a mess in the house to clean up at the end of the day which is very irritating.
Each time it goes offline, we have to reset/cycle our modem once home and then it works again. This is not a good solution though as for the fact that we have to be home to reboot it and can’t do that remotely, but we rely on a remote connection to let our dog outside.
Does this sound like a hardware issue?
