Google Store Pixel 8 VoLTE


I cant get VoLTE to work on my google store pixel 8.

I’ve reset the phone and reinserted the sim card, nothing.

I have the Koodo VoLTE Access addon but it still doesnt work.

That was strange. When you made a call as of now, did the signal bar stayed as LTE or 3G? I assumed you are in a good reception area as well?

Before placing a call I see 5G+.

When I make a call I see H.

If I manually set network preference to LTE, I see that before seeing H again when calling.

That was strange. Do you happen to have another phone to test? As well, I assumed you updated the phone to the lastest firmware from Google?

No I dont have another device.

Yes its the latest firmware.

Let me flag a rep to see if we can have more information.

In the worst scenario, you can also reset the device to its default factory settings to see if that can help

I have done a couple factory resets with no luck.

Also, checking my IMEI number on the telus page confirms compatibility with volte with my device.

Just to confirm, you have the VoLTE toggle turned on on your phone, correct?

Can you test again and see if VoLTE works?

Didnt fix or change anything.
Except now I cant receive or send MMS messages either.

I fixed it by switching to Public Mobile.
Popped in their sim and everything just worked.
Seemed the easier route when compared to these discount support channels.
I'll port my number over in the coming days.
