Finding lost phone?

I lost my iPhone yesterday, probably dropped in or just outside of a store.

When I call it, it rings a few times and goes to voicemail, so it’s still on. However the Find My app says that it is offline. I put it into Lost Mode with my mom’s number as a contact, but it is “pending”.

I’m hoping to get in touch with whoever might have found it so that I can get it back. Planning on offering a reward. Is this realistic?

If I deactivate/suspend it through Koodo, will I be able to keep calling (or have my mom call it so they know it’s a trusted contact) or texting it with my email address?

I thought about reporting it lost or stolen to Koodo but I don’t know what this does or how it will help.

Hi @rclark7

Sorry to hear that you lost your phone.

Suspending the phone through Koodo will suspend the sim, so it will no longer be connected to the network. This means, you won’t be able to call it.

To blacklist the phone, you can schedule a call back through the virtual assist https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/reporting-your-lost-or-stolen-phone

Also, please check this article from Apple https://support.apple.com/en-ca/104978#:~:text=The%20Find%20My%20network%20is,find%20it%20in%20Find%20My.

For the Find My iPhone services to work, your phone needs to be on (has power) and connected to the internet (wifi or cellular data).

If any of these are not true, then you will not be able to use the Fine My iPhone services on your lost phone
