I did the following steps previously to disable voicemail:

  1. Call your voicemail by holding the number 1 on your dial pad.
  2. Select option 3 to “Manage your greetings”.
  3. Select option 4 to “Manage your Extended Absence Greeting”.
  4. Select option 5 to block callers from leaving a message after hearing the Extended Absence Greeting. 

However it is not disabled and calls reach voicemail if not picked up. I want to completely disable voicemail so that there is no greeting and no one can leave me voicemail (mostly spam anyway).  How do I turn it off?

which phone are you using? If it is an iPhone, was the live voicemail turned on? 

 

I am using a Motorola android phone. I also checked self-serve to see if there is a voicemail feature I need to turn-off, but I don’t see any.

Let me flag a rep to look into to see if they can disable voicemail in your number.

The voicemail has been disabled as requested. You can reboot the phone in order to refresh.
