I activated a new koodo account 3 days ago, but there was an issue installing the esim (not an issue porting the number). So I went to a koodo store and picked up a new physical sim, which they said I could change over using self serve. However, because my number has been ported in to koodo and I have no working sim, I can’t verify myself with a text. When I tried to schedule a call back (using a friends phone since I live alone and don’t have another phone) 2 days ago (on a saturday) I was on the phone with a customer service rep who was not helpful in the slightest (basically useless) so she forwarded me to tech support where I waited on hold for 2 wonderful hours before being disconnected.

Now, my account is older than 48 hours but when I try and change my sim it still gives me the same error that I can’t verify my account because my email has been active for less than 48 hours. I can’t schedule another callback because I don't have another phone, the people in the store are all but useless at solving any real problems and I can't port out to another provider since without having any service.

Due to security reasons, sim swaps can be completed in self serve. In this case, you will have to speak to a rep to get assistance.
