I switched to Koodo on Dec 2, 2024 and received the SIM card on Dec 5, 2024, so I completed the self-serve registration and activate the SIM card on Dec 5, 2024.

Then I chose the free perk for “Unlimited Long Distance Pack (27 countries)”, and set up the “Pre-Authorized Debit” on Dec 5, 2024.

Do I need to wait until the start of my next billing cycle Jan 2, 2025 in order to start using the unlimited international distance call, and receive the $5 auto-pay discount?

Hi ​@ECC, welcome to Koodo! You can start using your Long Distance perk right away, it’s already active on your account.

As you have an eligible plan and have registered for pre-authorized payments already you should start seeing the auto-pay discount starting with your first bill, coming out after December 11.
