I will be going out of the country soon and I want to pause my plan temporary. When I start to using this service how long can I continue to use my own package until leave the country?

I assumed you are a postpaid customer. Koodo offers a seasonal hold plans of $15 or $30 per month. https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/keeping-your-account-open-when-travelling
You could potentially switch your plan to the Seasonal Hold option via your Self Serve account if you don't have a TAB.
