I am new to Koodo and just got 2 new phones.   The first one is mostly set up but I can’t register the second one on Koodo self serve.   I’ve tried 3 different emails and 2 cell numbers and I’m not receiving any email or text with a verification code.    The phone has a new SIM card and I’ve successfully loaded all the settings and apps from my iPhone backup.   The phone is showing Koodo as the new carrier and shows the temporary number they've assigned - because I can’t register and port my existing number.  I can’t receive or send texts.   I requested a call back but that’s nearly 48 hours away and I need the phone for work.  Any ideas for a workaround?

How did you sign up for koodo?


I ordered the phones online from Koodo and I don't know if the problem is that I used the same name and email address for both orders.    But like I say, I tried two alternate email addresses and  using text in the chat to get the verification code sent and nothing ever came.  


That is exactly the issue.

You made 1 order for a new account with your email (which is your tied to your account).  Then you made another new order right after prior to the first one being processed, resulting in 2 new orders on the same email which confused the system.  You needed to use a different email when you signed up a 2nd time or wait for the first order to be completed prior to added another one.

Did you want both lines on the same account?

 


Yes, but I understand from the help section that I need the help of a human to join the accounts onto one bill.    Ideally I'd have ordered both phones on one order and had one account from the beginning but that didn't seem to be an option.   I guess I'll wait for the call back and get a human to help sort it out.  Thanks for replying!
