I think I got scammed.

They got my order number and email.

I suspect the have intercepted my new phone order.  Have not been able to get in touch with koodo yet.

What made you think that you were scammed? When and how did you order anything from Koodo? Did you receive any order number?


Hi ​@BrianSlo, can you give us some more details, what makes you suspect a scam? We can see a recent online order but it’s set to be delivered to the address on your account. We’ve also seen a recent change to your Self Serve password, do you still have access to your online account?


Rep from koodo called. Offered s24 ultra at same price I pay now. $50.  Got me to go on koodomobile.com to order the phone. Had to choose iPhone and said he will change it to s24 ultra.  I gave him the order number and my email.  He then sent an email confirmation from sales@telusmobilityplan.net wich looked a little suspicious. Then gave postal code. And it was all done.  I have changed password and pin and security question as precaution. Visa is now also locked, which may be overkill lol.


Unfortunately, that is definitely a scam. That is not an email address we recognize, some common email domains we use are @koodomobile.com or @telus.com. We will never ask you to order a specific phone model or claim to be able to change it later.

The cost for the iPhone would be $74.96/month/24 months. The order is not yet approved. Are you still interested in the phone, would you like us to contact the webstore team to cancel it? You can also contact them via email at koodo.webstore@koodomobile.com

Is there any chance they would have been able to get my visa details? 


Ok ​@BrianSlo, we’ve messaged the Webstore team to cancel the order. They likely will respond tomorrow at the earliest but there are notes on your account about all this. 

Hard to say regarding your Visa, did they send you any links or ask you to visit any sites or download anything? Did you provide any payment details? We’d recommend getting in touch with your bank anyway just to be safe.
