Because you got it delivered to NS, the NS tax rate applies. Similar to if you were to go to the Koodo store in NS, you’d pay the NS rate.

Have you received a bill yet with the new plan?

I haven't received the first bill yet. I only saw on the order confirmation screen that the monthly mobile phone payment and data plan have become NS taxes and fees. Do you suggest that I wait until the first bill comes out before asking questions? If it is not correct, who can help me make changes at that time?

EDITED: So just to confirm, they charged the phone (tab payment) with NS tax rate? And not your cellular plan? Or both was charged with NS rate?

For device purchases, indeed the taxes are based on the address the phone is being shipped to.
