Which phone are you using? Have you put the SIM card into your new phone?
using new phone and yes they put sim card in it but all calls and texts go to new phone but screen is half black so can’t read it

That is strange. Did you switch from an Android device to an iPhone? If so, you need to disable RCS from your old device. https://messages.google.com/disable-chat

If the old phone received all calls and text, the old sim card from the previous carrier was likely still in it.
