Text message from Koodo: free long distance minutes or scam?

Two days ago, I got a text message from “5252” which reads,

“Koodo: Talk to friends and family for free across the globe with this offer, just for you.  Get 60 long distance mins that never expire for FREE to call India, China, and 48 other countries. Full list of eligible countries here: “https://www.koodo.com/en/help/long-distance-travel-and-roaming-prepaid.  Hurry, you have to reply to get this offer before it expires on Feb 28!  Reply YES to claim your FREE long distance minutes...”

The message looks so convincing and yet could be an elaborate phishing attempt.  I have never in my experience received something free from Koodo, and the urgency “Hurry before it expires” sets off alarm bells.  I would like to claim the offer since it would benefit me but am afraid to reply YES in case it is a scam.
