I helped a friend buy a prepaid account last month and was just charged the same amount one month later. My friend does not have account credentials so there’s no account I can log into to cancel the transaction, and I don’t have the phone number. When I enter my friend’s email a recovery code the account does not receive it. We both thought this was a one time payment, not a recurring charge. How can I cancel this charge?

So this is due to automatic payments setup on the account. To potentially get the money back, you will need to setup a call back with a rep through the link below as reps on here are limited when it comes to prepaid. While you have them on the phone, make sure to ask that automatic payments are turned off so that you don't get charged again. Just keep in mind if you would like to have the service going forward then you will need to top up the account every 30 days by either making the payment online, at a koodo kiosk / Telus store, or anywhere else that sells prepaid top ups.
