Extra data costs more than double in Canada!

I like to buy extra data on my prepaid plan so I never run out.  It used to be that the US data costs more than Canadian data, but now it’s the opposite.  Koodo is charging $30 for 1 Gig of Canadian Data but only $25 for 2 Gigs of US data!  What is going on?  I haven’t seen any sales or promos for prepaid customers for a long time, how about you?

Prepaid is definitely exceptionally expensive now compared to most postpaid plans. In comparison, I have 50GB for $34 (Black Friday deal). Of course the drawback is that this data doesn’t carry over, unlike the prepaid boosters.

The only people the $15 prepaid plan is useful for is people who use more or less exactly 250MB and then use a booster for the occasional 1 or 2 MB you need to go over… that way a booster can almost last forever.
