Looks good so far.  This page indicates that if you have a monthly plan, you should be good.

But if you click on the link to Learn More About Wifi Calling, you get this (note term 2) which says you need a talk text and data plan.

Are you on a prepaid plan? if you are, wifi calling doesn’t work on a prepaid plan. Only postpaid customer can use wifi calling on compatible device

Not on prepaid.  I am looking at a new post paid plan for my wife, but Wifi calling access is essential for her.

Well, that plan is technically a plan with data access (but you have to pay extra for data usage). You should be able to access wifi callling. I will flag a rep here to have more information as well.

BUT there could be issue with WiFi calling depending on your phone. If you are using an Android, you might have to visit an area that you can have Koodo signal to reactivate wifi calling after certain period of time.

Her phone is an Android, fortunately we do get an intermittent signal (strong enough to get a text but not a phone call for more than 20 seconds)  so I will be able to get Wifi calling set up.
