Hi. I’m currently out of Canada and my phone number is on seasonal hold. Can I still receive text messages from Canada? I saw that the seasonal hold plan include “free incoming SMS”, but when I used my koodo sim card, the phone showed “no service”.

So, No. the point of the seasonal hold is to temporarily suspend your services so that you’re allowed to keep your phone number and Koodo account. Whilst on the seasonal hold, you cannot use texting, data or calling services. This is why your phone says no service when you try to use the Koodo SIM. Not overly sure why you’re seeing that but ultimately it will not work 😅. Some more information can be found in the link 🙂👍
