Hi,

I did not opt for any changes on my plan but on my 'Transaction History’, under 'Transaction’ it shows ‘Rate plan change' and under Details it shows ‘Rate change effective’, all this is appearing under today's date, why and how has this appeared? Will I be charged for this? But I did not opt for any change, please help!

Hi there,

if you check your previous months PDF bill in self serve, near the last page is there a notice in fine print about a plan price increase? This may show up as a ‘Rate plan change’ like you described. It will outline the price increase to the plan you have if that is the case, same plan going forward just the cost of it has increased. To download your PDF bill for this month and previous ones you can follow the steps in the link below. If that is not the case, let us know 🙂

Hi @BPP

We have looked into it however we don’t see a plan change today for your account.

Can you please take a screenshot of what you see on your end? (Please hide any personal details)

Hi @Flo Koodo

Thank you @BPP

We have reviewed the account and there is no change we can see for today.

The effective date of the plan is indeed August 16 2024.

I also got stung by this rate change buried at the back of an invoice that I had to click on to read.  I’ve been using Koodo for over 2 years and never seen a rate change that I didn’t initiate.  To require us to open each detailed invoice and look through the fine print,  rather than including notice in the email, is to say the least tacky.  Turns out I was able to switch to a new plan with the same rate if I authorized pre-payment (which I was already using).  So confusing and tacky.

The status here saying that

From Mar 06 2024 to Oct 18 2024, your rate plan was $30GB for a 30GBplan

From Oct 18 2024 - now, your rate plan is $35 30GB for a 30GB plan

So there was a plan price change in this billing cycle. I recommend you download your PDF previous bill, and check the last page of it to see the notice of price increase.

I understand. However, my question is regarding the reason for the increase. Is it something that can be increased unilaterally with a one-month notice, as per the terms and conditions? I am curious about this because I have been a loyal customer of Koodo for the past 13 years and have never experienced a similar situation before.

Yes.  It is in section D2 in the WIreless Code of Conduct

Thank you for the information! 👀 I understand your point. However, may I inquire if we have the option to retain our current plan for 30 calendar days without making any changes? Additionally, do we have the possibility of keeping our existing plan before providing a 30-day notice?

You can change your plan once per biling cycle.

Any provider can increase their plan with 30 days notice if you are on a month to month contract.

You can check your self serve account to see if you have any personalized promo plans.

In addition to month-to-month plans and prepaid options, does Koodo offer any other types of plans? If not, it appears that customers do not have many choices in this regard.

Yes, if you get a new phone and sign up for a Tab contract, then the price is locked in for 24 months

Ok.sounds 👍 good.Thanks for information
