Hey guys, I called the Koodo sales line, and a sales representative named Catharine offered me a two-line plan for $24/month per line, including 45GB of data and 1,000 international talk minutes (originally $34/month for 20GB, with $5 off for preauthorized payments, $5 off for 24 months, a 25GB add-on, and a 1,000 international minute add-on). I was very pleased with the offer and decided to activate the plan with her.
However, the plan I received is completely different from what she promised. I didn’t receive the $5 credit for 24 months on either line, there’s no 25GB add-on for one of the lines, and the other line doesn’t have the 1,000 international minutes.
To make matters worse, Catharine hung up midway through activating my eSIM after promising to call me back within 5 minutes, citing concerns about signal disconnection during the transition between providers. She never called me back. I ended up completing the activation process myself after waiting for her for nearly an hour, only to discover that the plan was not what she had promised.
Koodo needs to ensure that its representatives don’t make promises they cannot fulfill, as this reflects poorly on the company and makes it seem untrustworthy. I’ve already spent a day and a half trying to resolve this issue, and it is still not fixed.
