I would suggest you wait till Black Friday to shop around... less than a month to go and the carriers will probably all try to out-promote each other :)

Hopefully the new activations requirement will not be made for this Black Friday. Call centres tend to get flooded with people asking to get the plan as existing customers and all the companies have been generally allowing it. Up to you then on whether you decide to remain with Koodo or not. I always advocate go for what fits you best.

And if you don't need to buy a phone anytime soon, then you should check some prepaid plans too. ( from Koodo, Public, or any providers)
