I have recently moved back overseas and wanted to cancel my phone plan. I originally thought to pause my account until I come back next year for holidays but noticed that the pause plan still charges me $15 a month which I find not worth keeping. Since I’m unable to call to Canada right now, I had someone in Canada attempt a cancellation through port request. However, that seemed to fail. I was wondering if there is a way to cancel my plan any other way?

To port out, you would need to follow the proper procedures. Did you receive the SMS of the number transfer request?

Anyway, if you want to cancel while staying overseas, contact Koodo via Facebook messaging https://www.facebook.com/Koodo

Hi @Elton

If you wish to keep your phone number, you might consider switching to prepaid and choosing a prepaid plan. You'll still have to top up your account periodically, otherwise your account will get deactivated (the accounts gets deactivated if you’ve been without an activate base plan for 90 days, more info here https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/prepaid-sim-cards)

If you still wish to proceed with the cancelation of your number, you can send us a message on social media.

Thanks for the reply! I still wish to proceed with the cancellation. I have sent a message yesterday but haven’t gotten a reply yet so I wasn’t sure if you were active there.  Should I send a follow up message or continue waiting for a reply?

@Elton

No need to send a follow up message, a rep should reply as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience!
