Hi, I would like to keep my current phone and I already have a phone plan with Koodo. I would like to DOWNGRADE the plan to something cheap (like Tab basic). However, when I tried to do it online, it is forcing me to choose a new phone.
Is there any way to switch to Tab Basic without buying a new phone?

I was checking my plans/lines if there is any offers.
Only plans with the same price or higher than my current plan were shown...
If you have no tab balance, no tab bonus left on your account, then set up a call back and ask them what they can offer you.
Do you currently have a tab balance? Which plan is it that you want?
It sounds like you are selecting a new line from the main Koodo page
You need to log into your self serve and then go to your plans, then change plans and you will see plan options.
