4G LTE Speed vs 4G - 50% drop in speed?

My current plan says “4G LTE”.  When running Speed Test, I get between 200-250 Mbps.  Any of the new plans say “4G up to 100 Mbps”.  Does that mean that by changing plans, my data speed will drop by at least half, or am I missing something here?

Where does it say 4G LTE?

250mbps is 5G speed

In the account settings.  As I’m finding more info, it looks like they throttle newer plans to 100.  I’m  on an old plan, which isn’t throttled.  Not quite as fast at the moment, but I was getting 250 earlier today.  Though I’m thinking it may not matter for my purposes.

From the screenshot, If your plan is an old plan without any “perk” then your lte speed wasn’t capped.

Still surprising that an uncapped plan is getting 5G speeds. I thought it would get uncapped LTE speeds
