So I recently lost my sim card while travelling. I asked my mom to go buy the sim card and ship it to me because Koodoo wouldn’t. They wouldn’t even activate it at the store because I’m not there (I can understand). So why am I charged $21 to get a replacement sim? Cost associated with getting a new sim is understandable but even then, it shouldn’t be over $10. But to charge $21 for a sim card with a $34 plan when no service is provided is absolutely ridiculous. Especially when Canada already charges you ridiculous amount of money on terrible plans. I travel a lot and have yet to come across a more expensive and inferior plans anywhere else.
Only reason I keep this number is for work and CRA.
Why am I being charged $21 to replace a sim card? Ridiculous
Koodo SIM cards should be $10. You can buy them online here if you’re okay with waiting a few days: https://www.telus.com/en/mobility/accessories/product/koodo-tri-sim
If you get it from a Koodo dealer or retailer they may charge more but a corporate owned Koodo store would only charge $10 + tax for a Koodo SIM card.
