I just had another call (received a few in the last couple months) from 1-866-558-4150.  It shows up as Suspected Spam so I don't answer.  In call history it shows as Telus.   I google the number and am led to this community forum where there's a closed thread about this number as someone else was asking if it's legit.   A Koodo employee confirms it's a legitimate phone number in use by Koodo.

My question is why does this number show up to me as suspected spam when it's actually Koodo and I'm a Koodo customer?  They are displaying their own number as spam.  Also why doesn't Koodo leave a voicemail?  Why not email me or text?

If there are some deals Koodo wants me to be aware of,  phoning from a "suspected spam" number and not leaving a message seems very suspected to me.

It’s not Telus/Koodo doing the suspected spam warning, but your phone adding it in the caller ID.

Koodo uses several different numbers, and it’s difficult keeping an updated list of what’s “proper.” I honestly wish they’d shift to fewer numbers on caller ID when calling out.

I was constantly getting calls from numbers that identified as koodo.  I NEVER answered them as I was not sure if was legit or not as I had not requested a call back or contacted koodo prior to these calls.  But they stopped and I am glad. I didn't knowwhy koodo was calling me and I didn't care . If there was a promo , email me and I'll log onto self serve to activate it myself if I chose to. ...or i would go to a koodo phone center in my city.
