Have you tried cleaning the sim card slot as well?
Either something is dirty that is messing with the connection or there is an issue with the sim card (or even possible the sim connector pins in the phone).
You can also try your sim in another working phone to help isolate if the issue is with the phone or the sim card.
Hi @rickylopez, your account is set up for roaming. Have you tried to manually scan for available networks? You can do that in Settings> Cellular> Network selection> toggle off Automatic, wait a few moments for available networks to populate and test each one.

I have isolated the issue before I posted, yes, I inserted a local SIM card & the picked up signal with my koodo phone & inserted my kood SIM card in an unlocked phone & it did not pick any signal so the issue is the definitely the SIM card.

I have isolated the issue {read above please} - how can koodo help me get signal?
Since it is the sim card that is damaged, you will need a new sim.
Since you are out of the country, your easiest solution is to get an eSim. Is your phone eSim compatible?

Yes it is!! how can we make this happen?
thank you!
Get a friend or family member in Canada to buy an esim voucher for you from a Koodo kiosk.
They can take a photo of it and send it to you (email or something)
Then you can swap your sim to the esim
