I just received a scam call from someone who said he was with Telus / Koodo from 905-389-9693.

He offered me 40% for 2 years for the same services, in order to encourage me to stay with Telus. He asked me to verify my information. I was distracted so I did give him my name and address and phone number and email address and date of birth. Gulp.

He then put me on the line with his “supervisor” who emailed me something that looked legitimate, with the Koodo logo. I was supposed to click the link, and I finally realized this is likely a scam.

I told him I wasn’t going to click the link, and he gave me a phone number to call to confirm that the offer was legitimate. He gave me 1-866-895-5485 (which I am not going to call in any case), because this is (now) obviously a scam.

I did give him my name, address, email address and date of birth though, what should I do?

There is not much you can do.  It is not like you can change your date of birth.

From a wider perspective, the info you gave out is somewhat benign.  I would just monitor your various accounts and watch out for suspicious activity (ex. account changes, password changes that were not initiated by you)
