I was contacted by someone pretending to be my bank. They said I had an unauthorized transaction on my account. They said I need to go home and dial*21 on my cell followed by a10 digit number. I did that then I noticed there was call forwarding on my phone later that day. I shut it off. The next morning I missed two calls. I called my bank and they said nobody called me from the fraud department at the bank, no messages on my account etc. I described the call forwarding. They suggested I contact my phone provider but they will not provide a call back to discuss if my phone has been hacked. Very frustrating. How do I know if my phone has been hacked to take over my account? Help please. I will be switching providers at my first opportunity knowing this provider is not there when we need it most.
To deactivate call forwarding, you can dial #21# and then select the call icon. A confirmation message will appear to indicate that call forwarding has been deactivated.
Then you can schedule a callback and double check that your Koodo account looks good. There shouldn’t be any issues with call backs once the call forwarding has been turned off.
Hi
We have sent you a PM with more details regarding your Koodo account, feel free to check your community inbox when you get the chance.
The first thing you should have done is call your bank BEFORE you did anything else. If your bank is anything like mine, they don't call asking for information.
