Hello.

So I am outside of Canada now with no intent to return, so I wanted to have my Koodo account cancelled. I messaged them since December 29 to have it cancelled, however I only got a response today and after the agent said that their verification thing isn’t working, he didn’t reply to me anymore (which I feel like is so unprofessional on that agent’s part). Even on their X (Twitter) account, no one is answering me. I usually get pretty fast responses from Koodo before so this one I assume is just because of the Holidays. Is there anyone here from Koodo who knows when it’s gonna be fixed? Because I really need to cancel my account before the 6th and for whatever reason, Koodo doesn’t have a number that you can call from overseas.

I’ve already messaged them — no one replied to me on X (Twitter), someone replied to me on Facebook but the agent didn’t reply to me anymore after he mentioned that their verification thing isn’t working (which used to work before). Here’s his message: 

“I’m sorry to see that you've encountered this situation. We currently are experiencing some system issues regarding the authentication. Our colleagues from the technical support team have been focused in continuous restoration efforts, and are working to resolve it as soon as possible. I'm afraid we do not have an precise estimated time for a resolution.“

I hope someone from Koodo knows when it’s gonna be fixed, or if there are alternatives. I really need to cancel the account. I know it’s the holidays, but hopefully it gets fixed or someone replies to me after the NY holiday.

The other way is to download an app that can make or receive calls from Canada, such as Fongo, and schedule a callback to that number instead.
