Mysterious data leak every day around same time?

I received two text messages this AM from koodo:

09:32 - “you’ve used 50% of the data included in your base plan. Please log in…”

09:35 - “you’ve used 90% of the data included...” etc.

When I logged in to check this out, the data usage display was 100% used.
I was at home on my Wi Fi at the time, so that was interesting.

Also, why does my data usage history always display at least two daily data usages around 10 PM? Is this Koodo’s no frills way of showing the daily data usage?

You can check your phone what the data was used on. Could be a rogue app… what phone is it? On my Android it’s in Settings - Connections - Mobile data usage.

It’s an iPhone IOS 16.7.8 (an 8 Plus)

I’ve reset the data counter and will be tracking the apps/Siri/etc usage.

Make sure Wifi Assist is disabled on your phone.  If you have this on, the phone can use cellular data even when connected to Wifi

It’s hard to find, but it’s been turned off.

Just curious, how much data do you have in your plan?  As well, Koodo data reporting functions and in selfserve and the text wasn't always reporting with correct timestamp. Sometimes it combined several hours usage into one data bucket.
